The Norristown Weed and Seed Initiative will develop and implement a strategic plan to revitalize Norristown by identifying resources and creating new ones where necessary in order to address eight areas: Education, Economic Development, Housing, Family Strengthing/Youth Development, Community Relations, Recreation, Crime Prevention/Public Safety, and Health and Wellness.

Project Spotlight

Truancy Abatement Initiative
In hopes to keep kids in school and off the streets, the Norristown Police Department has  partnered with Norristown Weed and Seed.   Through this initiative law enforcement officers will be knocking on doors of chronic absentees as well as stopping kids during the Day Time Curfew in hopes to put a stop to the issues that keep kids from school.
