2007 Weed and Seed Annual Community Meeting
On Monday, August 27 2007, Norristown Weed and Seed hosted its annual community meeting at the Haws Avenue United Methodist Church located at 800 West Marshall Street in Norristown. This meeting was highlighted by guest speaker and NBC 10 personality, Lori Wilson. She addressed the community and more specifically, youth about the importance of staying in school. In addition to this, many items were given away which included, Chik-Fil-A sandwiches, Genuardi's Gift Cards, Bikes, Movie Tickets, T-Shirts and more. This event also gave approximately 25 non-profit organizations and human service agencies the ability to provide resources and literature to the attending residents. This event was a huge success and is one everyone is looking forward to in the future.
